In this episode of Warrior Women in the World of Entrepreneurship we speak with artist and photographer, Madeline Shayne. We go over how burn out can happen even with something you absolutely love, and how to avoid that in the future. We also discuss how moving can affect your business and how to make sure that you create and sustain passive income to be able to have a buffer when you do have a life change of any kind that may take away from your main work and income.

Madeline's journey as an artist, photographer and  entrepreneur began first with the influence, support, love, and lessons from her Grandmother and mother who supported and instilled in her the need to create and tell her own stories. At 17 years old Madeline's family moved from Arkansas, USA to New Delhi, India (talk about a change of culture and scenery), where she received her first hand-me-down camera that began her journey as a photographer. Although photography still remains and integral part of her creative process and business, she uses all she has learned from her love of fantasy novels, the natural world, and couture fashion to create fantastical imagery to photo prints, fabrics and wallpapers, bags, pouches, pillows, candles, mugs, towels, journals, stickers, towels, curtains, puzzles, gift wrap, and much more.

Madeline has also created a Companion Art Book for the Green Rider book series by Author: Kristen Britain. She partnered with Kristina A. Bishoff Composer & Arranger (our Warrior Woman Guest from Episodes 2 & 3) to create the artwork while Kristina composed and produced the book soundtrack, all while working along with Kristen Britain to ensure the integrity of the book series with the artwork and soundtrack.

We hope you enjoy listening to this episode with Madeline and all the experiences, lessons, stories and advice she has to offer.

*We apologize for the audio in this episode. On our end the correct microphone did not save and so there is very poor quality on Colo's end for audio. We hope you can hear Madeline well and enjoy the episode regardless of the audio issues we experienced. Mahalo!*
